TEACHER TRAINING FACULTY

Datza Uldrike  E – RYT 200 – Lead

Datza was introduced to yoga more than 10 years ago when she moved to Seattle from Riga, Latvia. With her background in dance and fitness, she developed a natural love for the asana practice and it grew into desire to teach. Datza is 200RYT graduate from Samadhi teacher training lead by Kathleen Hunt and Steve Davis and her lovely mentor Jennifer Isaacson. In her classes, Datza strives to blend her love of music and movement with playful, yet challenging and creative sequencing. She motivates her students to work to their potential and discover new possibilities of strength, flexibility and balance while doing it with “it feels good” attitude and using modifications as needed. She encourages students to find inner connections of body, mind and soul and to take it what they learn on the yoga mat and apply it into all areas of life. Datza teaches vinyasa yoga and cycle + flow classes. In her cycle classes do expect to sweat out all the nonsense what you are no more in need, by working at your edge and listening to the best beats this world has to offer. “If you want something in your life you never had, you’ll have to do something, you’ve never done.” JD Houston.

Indira Avdić, RYT 200 – Business of yoga + Hands on adjustment

Indira is a yogi who is passionate about life, people and yoga. She first discovered yoga in 2009, as a way to heal a back injury she got in a car accident. By experiencing the physical and the mental benefits of the yoga practice, Indira knew from the very beginning that yoga would become an important part of her life. In 2011, Indira completed her 200-hour teacher training, knowing that this was what she wanted to do – share the benefits of yoga and help people in their healing journeys. Having extensive experience in the corporate world, Indira felt confident combining her business skills and passion for yoga to build a successful yoga studio where people could feel safe and welcomed. Today, a proud owner of Live Love Flow Yoga Studio, Indira works with a diverse group of talented teachers. Off the mat, Indira enjoys spending time with her family and travelling, especially to Europe, where she grew up. She often brings her worldliness into the classroom in addition to her spirituality and yoga philosophy.

Morgan Zion O’Friel, RYT 200 – Inversions

Teaches the yoga. Plays the sports. Makes the art. Drinks the coffee. Loves the people. Lives the life. Morgan Zion has been an athlete all her life. Growing up she maintained her passion for athleticism as a varsity basketball & soccer star and went on to play D1 college soccer. While early in college, she developed a passion for yoga as a healing & challenging activity that she would first hate & later find a irresistible love for. After college she began practicing & teaching power vinyasa yoga. While growing in both her training & teaching she began to develop her own Hypsy Gypsy flow which is centered around athleticism, challenge, empowerment, fun, inner peace & just a touch of sexy. In her other life she is often seen doing a plethora of handstands in public, wearing eclectic varieties of clothing and drawing at a local coffee shops.

Blair Fillingham, RYT 200 – Prenatal Yoga

“I believe that practicing yoga provides us all with an opportunity to tap into our potential, observe it, understand and unleash it. The precious time we spend in class also gives us the opportunity to let go, recalibrate and restore, so that we can go back into the world feeling more centered, more grounded. When we become pregnant, our yoga practice provides us a time to really connect with the life that is growing inside us. When we become a mother, our practice allows us to take the time we need to reconnect with ourselves so that we can sustain that life. The relationship between effort/ease, strength/vulnerability, rest/exertion, flexibility/control, and the invigorating feeling I get when my breath and body flow together, inspired me to take teacher training with Dora Gyarmati in 2013. I started my training when my first daughter was one, and finished it when I was six months pregnant with my second daughter.
